my totally awesome summer adventures

this was an intesesting summer for me. for the first time i decided not to find a job at home, but rather to move across the country for work. i started out working a hockey camp in tulsa, oklahoma for a week, then moved on to boulder, colorado for the next three. my time in boulder was well spent, as i had the opportunity to go mountain hiking and biking, as well as tube down the river that runs through the center of town. after boulder i had to unfortunatly spend the next week in freemont, nebraska. there was nothing exciting about this town. after a week of nothing i got to go to pindale, wyoming (about an hour from Jackson and Jackson Hole). this was an interesting town, as the majority of the locals all worked in the oil fields. maybe the scariest part of the trip occurred here, when three of the townspeople were considering whether or not to beat me up because i told them i worked indoors. after the week in pindale my buddies and i made it to jackson hole where we spent the remainder of the weekend. here we got the chance to visit the Teton national park and mountain range. we took the lifts to the top, and from there base jumped down from 13,000 feet. ha. the next week i spent in boise, idaho. here i spent most of my time on the snake river, relaxing, tubing, and wakeboarding. my final week on the road was spent in the town of breckenridge, colorado, which was fun, but definatly would have been more enjoyable in the winter. overall it was a fun summer on the road as i got to see many parts of the country i had never seen before.
